FLOYE FRANCIS TURNER PRUITT, 89, was born on May 14th, 1922 in Delhi, Oklahoma to Hugh and Icey (McIntyre) Turner. She went to be with her Lord on November 30th, 2011.
She married Hurshel Pruitt on April 22, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 64 years, three sisters, and one brother. She is survived by all her children: Charlotte Howard and husband, Jim, of Mangum, OK; Grace Lantz and husband, Charles, of Amarillo, TX; Hurshel Pruitt and wife, Linda, of Yorktown, TX; Tommy Pruitt of Tulsa, OK; Kenneth Pruitt and wife, Sherry, of Tulsa, OK; Larry Pruitt of Tulsa, OK; Charley Pruitt and wife, Sherry, of Tulsa, OK; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She loved God, her church, and her family. Floye and Hurshel were foster parents to twenty-nine children over five years, while living in Tucson, AZ. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, crafts, and playing games, and she helped with many fundraisers over the years for her church. She also enjoyed traveling to see her grandkids. She was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church.
She will be missed greatly by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Her services have been entrusted to the Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home - Westwood Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 and her service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4th, 2011, both at Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home - Westwood Chapel. A graveside celebration will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5th, 2011, at Roselawn Cemetery in Mangum, Oklahoma.
