Obituary for Marvin Everett Kirk

MARVIN EVERETT KIRK PASSED AWAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2019 IN HIS HOME SURROUNDED BY HIS FAMILY. HE WAS AN HONORABLY DISCHARGED ARMY VETERAN.

HE WAS BORN APRIL 15, 1940 IN PERRY, OKLAHOMA TO MARION KIRK AND VEDIA KIRK. HE MET THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE IN 1960, VERA ANN BERAN. THEY WERE UNITED IN MARRIAGE IN AUGUST 1962. OF THIS UNION THREE DAUGHTERS WERE BORN, SUSAN, MARI, AND DIANNE. THEY LIVED THEIR ENTIRE MARRIED LIFE IN OKLAHOMA. RAISING THEIR FAMILY IN CUSHING, OKLAHOMA. THEY MOVED TO TULSA IN 2003 WHERE ALL THREE OF THEIR DAUGHTERS AND GRANDCHILDREN LIVED AT THE TIME.
HE LOVED TO EAT, CASINOS, TRAVELING AND ESPECIALLY SPEND TIME WITH HIS FAMILY. THE GRANDCHILDREN WERE HIS PRIDE AND JOY.
HE IS PREDECEASED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, VEDIA KIRK, MOTHER, MARION KIRK, FATHER AND ETHEL KIRK, STEPMOTHER AND ONE GRANDSON, CODY REEVES GRAY.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING WIFE, ANN KIRK, OF THE HOME. DAUGHTERS – SUSAN KIRK OF HARLINGEN TX, MARI KIRK OF TULSA OK, AND DIANNE GRAY OF TULSA, OK. GRANDCHILDREN – BRYAN GRAY OF GRENADA, MS, ROBBIE GRAY OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA, AND SARAH KIRK OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA. SIBLINGS – ALICE BROWN OF YUKON, OK, ERNEST KIRK OF GUTHRIE, OK AND CARLA CHILDS OF TULSA, OK. NUMEROUS NIECES, NEPHEWS AND GREAT NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
CREMATION WILL BE HANDLED BY MARK GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, TULSA OK.
UPON HIS REQUEST, THERE WILL NOT BE A FORMAL FUNERAL SERVICE. THE FAMILY WILL HAVE AN INFORMAL GRAVESIDE SERVICE AT FREEDOM CEMETERY, WALDRON, AR UPON COMPLETION OF THE CREMATION.
IN LEIU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS CAN BE MADE TO THE OWASSO BAPTIST CHILDRENS HOME, 12700 E 6TH ST N, OWASSO, OK 74055.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.
