Obituary for Phyllis Jean Hall

Phyllis (Swift) Rutledge Hall, 87, of Glendale, AZ, passed away quietly on April 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by first husband, Howard Rutledge; second husband, Rodney Hall; son, John Rutledge.
Phyllis was born in Tulsa on July 24, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Lena Swift, and the youngest sister of Wilma, Betty, and Louise. She was a 1948 graduate of Daniel Webster High School, and a long time member of Red Fork Baptist Church. Most of her life was spent as a Navy wife, moving state-to-state and abroad, and raising her family.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Sondra Hamelin (Joseph) of California, Peggy Roth (Stephen), Texas and Barbara Rutledge, Arizona; her 5 grandsons, Stan, Jerran and Shannon Hamelin, Jason and Philip Roth; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is remembered for her kind and gentle nature, but a lioness when it came to her family.
Visitation Thursday, April 26, 3pm - 7pm, Mark Griffith Funeral Home, 4424 S. 33rd W. Ave, Tulsa. Graveside service will be Friday, April 27, 11:00am, Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa.
